These are special classes for children 3 years and older who do not choose a full-time 5 day Montessori program. Enrichment classes are offered in addition to regular morning or afternoon classes. Children enroll for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week.

The planned syllabus explores topics of interest in more depth than is possible in the regular Montessori classroom and includes a variety of units. These vary from year to year and could include:

Science
A wealth of hands-on activities to demonstrate various elements of mechanical engineering and natural forces, biology, physics and chemistry. Children might construct a pulley, demonstrate gravity, study metamorphosis, learn about the human body or make a battery. Other areas of investigation might include the oceans of the world, space and the solar system.

Beginning Gym
This is a fun workout with exercises in coordination, balance and following directions using various pieces of equipment. Students are also shown some yoga positions. Good sportsmanship is learned in group games.

Construction
The students engage in variety of large and small construction projects using building toys, found materials, clay or paper. This encourages inventiveness and spatial awareness.

Discovery
Students learn about people, societies and cultures from different times and places from all over our world. A variety of other fascinating topics may also be explored.

Cooking/Nutrition
Students learn about how nutritious foods help our bodies grow and repair themselves and provide energy for playing, learning, and living a happy life. Students will study parts of the body and how food and good nutrition play a part in living a healthy lifestyle (along with good sleeping habits, water, bathing, etc.) Students will help to cook a wide range of snacks that they can then enjoy in class.

French
Guided by a native French-speaking teacher, students are immersed in all things French, learning French language and studying different French-speaking countries and cultures from all around the world. They will learn about a variety of topics through French language.
